Senior SAP IS-U Functional Analyst – Billing & Invoicing

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior SAP IS-U Functional Analyst with deep expertise in Billing & Invoicing within the utility industry. This individual will serve as a senior technical SME and support major project initiatives, including SAP modernization and an upcoming S/4 transformation.

The ideal candidate will bring expert-level, hands-on SAP IS-U Billing configuration experience and strong knowledge of the end-to-end utility billing process.

Serve as a senior SAP IS-U SME focused on Billing & Invoicing. Configure and enhance billing schemas, rate structures, tariffs, TOU/RTP billing, budget billing, bill simulation, and mass billing. Support the complete end-to-end Billing & Invoicing process within SAP IS-U. Execute SAP projects and modernization initiatives, with project work taking priority over enhancements. Partner across SAP modules and systems, including Device Management (DM), FICA, CRM, and AMI. Provide technical leadership and guidance within SAP Billing and related functional areas. Learn existing business processes and translate requirements into effective SAP solutions. Diagnose complex functional issues and partner with development teams to resolve technical problems. Provide project and resource estimates as needed. Support future SAP S/4 Utilities transformation initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

• 8 years of experience

• Expert-level experience with SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.

• Hands-on experience personally configuring: Billing schemas Rate design and tariffs TOU and RTP billing Budget billing Bill simulation Mass billing

• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end utility Billing & Invoicing lifecycle.

• Experience integrating SAP IS-U Billing with modules/systems such as DM, FICA, CRM, and AMI.

• Professional experience working within the utility industry, preferably electric utility environments followed by gas.

• Ability to operate as a senior technical SME and provide technical leadership within SAP Billing.

• Ability to quickly learn existing processes and execute projects within the environment.

• SAP S/4 Utilities experience.

• Ability to independently debug technical SAP issues.

• SAP certification related to IS-U, Billing/Invoicing, FICA, Device Management, or a related discipline.

• Experience supporting large-scale SAP modernization or transformation initiatives.
