Job Description

At Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., you’ll join a team known for engineering innovation that supports energy, aerospace, and defense technologies worldwide. In this role, you’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of products that power critical missions. You’ll work with talented engineers, contribute to continuous improvement, and help shape processes that keep our operations strong. If you enjoy solving complex problems and leading teams toward excellence, this is a place where your work truly matters.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Work closely with multiple departments to clearly understand business requirements, identify risks, and manage critical paths.

  • Plan and schedule the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations, including the schedule and release of manufacturing orders as components become available.

  • Own and maintain material master data in the ERP system - lead times, safety stock, reorder points, standard lot-sizing rules, and planning parameters.

  • Review and action MRP messages daily, including reschedule-in, reschedule-out, expedite, and cancel recommendations, to prevent material shortages and support strategic order placement.

  • Manage the execution of engineering change notices as they relate to scheduled manufacturing orders.

  • Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, lead times and other criteria.

  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules and work with Program Management on mitigation steps.

  • Negotiate, obtain final quotes, and create detailed purchase requisitions for goods and services.

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Program Management to resolve material, schedule, and production constraints impacting customer requirements.

  • Ensure planning and scheduling processes are followed in adherence with Teledyne’s AS9100 / ISO9001 certifications.

What you bring to the table :

  • Minimum five years of Planning / Scheduling experience in a Manufacturing environment and a High School Diploma.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Item Masters, Bills of Materials, Inventory Management, Manufacturing Orders, and Revision Control. Experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of MRP planning logic, including demand and supply signals, lead-time offsets, reschedule messages, and planning parameters.

  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving scheduling challenges.

  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and record keeping.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products, especially Outlook and Excel.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Experience with Government contracts desired.

Work Location & Schedule:

  • This is a full-time exempt, onsite position working Monday through Friday on a day-shift schedule. Consistent onsite presence is required to support business operations, cross-functional collaboration, and materials planning activities.

Salary Range:
