The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in inventory and cost accounting, a solid grasp of U.S. GAAP, and the ability to strengthen controls, reporting accuracy, and close processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct accounting oversight for U.S. inventory activities, including valuation, reconciliations, reserve assessments, and internal control execution.

  • Evaluate balance sheet accounts and income statement results to confirm accurate reporting, proper treatment, and compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.

  • Examine monthly and quarterly financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results, and communicate the primary factors influencing variances.

  • Manage reviews related to slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory to ensure reserve levels are appropriate and well supported.

  • Collaborate with operational teams on cycle count programs, inventory adjustments, and initiatives that improve stock accuracy.

  • Assess standard costing results and manufacturing-related variances such as labor, overhead, scrap, utilization, and absorption to identify performance trends.

  • Partner with distribution and decoration leaders to provide financial guidance on cost efficiency, productivity, capacity planning, and operational results.

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and other planning activities for operational areas tied to manufacturing and distribution.

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including coordination with accounting teams and audit stakeholders, while helping enhance reporting processes and controls. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Experience analyzing balance sheet and profit and loss activity and clearly explaining underlying business drivers.

  • Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement audit support.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and confidence working within financial systems.

  • Ability to build effective partnerships with finance teams and operational leaders across multiple functions.

  • Strong analytical judgment, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
