Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role safeguards company financial assets while driving operational efficiencies across traditional and high-growth, startup-type business units within a Fortune 250 enterprise. The primary focus involves tackling complex financial data capture, modernizing core accounting processes, and delivering timely, actionable financial intelligence to senior leadership. By solving data integration and reporting challenges, the position ensures accurate financial governance and supports strategic enterprise initiatives.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

Prepare accurate general ledger and subledger accounting entries to capture complex business transactions

Deliver comprehensive monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform targeted ad-hoc analysis on capital costs

Design and implement scalable financial solutions to capture unique transaction data across diverse business units

Continuously improve financial workflows and reporting processes to boost enterprise-wide efficiency

Produce concise monthly and quarterly financial reports to guide executive decision-making
-
Apply modern AI tools to streamline variance analysis and automate repetitive data reconciliation workflows
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

Comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and standards
-
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and operational experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Financials
-
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to organize, analyze, and synthesize complex financial data
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present financial concepts clearly to leadership
-
Practical AI application skills to enhance data interpretation and automate financial reporting processes
Additional Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
Active CPA or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum Requirements:
-
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
-
Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced accounting environment, preferably within a technology business

Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 3 years of experience with:
-
Journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and subledger accounts

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
-
ERP systems such as Oracle Financials or equivalent enterprise platforms

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
