Manager Environmental Health Safety

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide the manufacturing entities of Stoughton Trailers and affiliated companies with current and comprehensive environmental guidance. The position shall develop, implement and maintain procedures and programs to minimize the environmental liability of Stoughton Trailers by responsively outlining actions to comply with federal, state and local environmental regulations. Develop, implement, and execute annual objectives and improvement plans in conjunction with plant management. Develop appropriate strategies for implementation of new or revised policies and regulations in conjunction with plant management. Maintain records to ensure adherence to corporate polices and/or regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, Clean Air Act/ Air permits, RCRA/hazardous waste, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Planning, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures, training, inspections, and evaluations. Prepare all necessary reports for regulatory agencies. Undertake, at regular, intervals audits/inspections of the plants (including inspections of machinery, equipment in use, and work systems in operation) with plant management to ensure compliance with corporate polices and regulations. Where appropriate, develop corrective and preventive actions with management team. Evaluate, recommend, and manage required environmental monitoring to assess compliance with all permits, orders, state or federal regulations. Review products hazardous substances, including but not limited to coatings and solvents, cleaner, lubricants, etc. Identify plant environmental training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.
