The insights provided will influence make-vs-buy decisions, capital allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for our rapidly scaling robotics infrastructure. from day one.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating with limited direction, deal with ambiguity, and partner with the aforementioned leaders with an entrepreneurial approach.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own the full capital governance lifecycle across sites including appropriation requests, capital project register, and Capital Work in Process (“CWIP”) to placed-in-service asset transition governance, depreciation schedules, and accurate recording of asset disposals.

  2. Own long-lead equipment planning partnerships and associated financial governance, track commitments and financial exposure on equipment orders.

  3. Own lease agreements, tenant improvement allowances, and real estate financial commitments across all sites, coordinating with legal, tax, and corporate real estate on multi-jurisdiction implications across Texas, California, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington.

  4. Own raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory financial oversight including min/max inventory level modeling, freight cost forecasting, and variance reporting against BOM logistics cost assumptions; coordinate with Amazon's existing fulfillment, logistics, and supply chain infrastructure.

  5. Leverage AI and automate obsolescence/excess inventory risk flagging, landed cost models across a dynamic supplier base, purchase commitment exposure, and supplier financial health monitoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field

  • 5+ years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in supply chain, procurement, or operations finance.

  • 3+ years of finance experience in Capital Asset management, Capital spending against plan, budget tracking and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day-to-day financial activities
