Nursing Supervisor

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our Clermont Behavioral Health Services division. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of licensed nursing staff and nursing support staff, as well as the planning, development, and day-to-day operations of nursing services. This role involves providing direct patient care, overseeing medication management, and collaborating with care management teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Why Work at GCBHS? - GCBHS is a pioneer in the field of behavioral health treatment for adults, children, and families - Top Workplace every year since 2010 - Paid Time Off and Sick Time - Flexible work schedules - Public Student Loan Forgiveness - Comprehensive health insurance - 403(b) Retirement with Match - Tuition Benefits Position Responsibilities for Nursing Supervisor: - Supervise nursing staff, providing clinical direction, support, and real-time coaching throughout the shift - Coordinate daily operations, including staffing assignments, patient flow, coverage, and workload - Support Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Primary Care operations, including triage, assessment, crisis stabilization, referrals, and follow-up care - Provide clinical oversight for mental health and substance use patients, ensuring appropriate interventions are initiated - Monitor patient safety and clinical needs, including suicide risk, withdrawal, medication issues, and medical emergencies - Oversee medication administration, medication reconciliation, adverse effective, and policy adherence - Lead de-escalation, crisis intervention, and safety planning during behavioral health emergencies - Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and nursing practice standards - Track quality and outcomes, and participate in performance improvement, audits, policy development, and staff education - Promote trauma-informed care, address staffing and performance concerns - Model professionalism, teamwork, and patient advocacy while partnering with leadership and interdisciplinary teams Position Requirements for Nursing Supervisor: - RN/BSN licensed to practice in the State of Ohio - 4+ years of RN experience - supervisor skills strongly preferred, but not required - psychiatric nursing knowledge - sound clinical nursing judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in crisis situations GCBHS is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
