Info Services, LLC has an opening for the position of Data Scientist (Ref# DS1014KSSVA). Work Location: Livonia, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Design and deploy scalable machine learning and deep learning models using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow to support real-time and batch inference workflows. Build and train neural networks using TensorFlow and PyTorch for tasks such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, and time series forecasting. Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, and GCP-native tools to automate ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, and model deployment. Leverage strong mathematical and statistical understanding (e.g., linear algebra, probability, optimization, and hypothesis testing) to formulate, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms. Apply advanced ML techniques including ensemble methods, transfer learning, hyperparameter optimization (Optuna, Keras Tuner), and model interpretability tools like SHAP and LIME. Conduct research and prototype Reinforcement Learning (RL) models for sequential decision-making problems using libraries such as Stable Baselines3, Ray RLlib, or custom implementations. Perform complex data analysis and visualization to derive actionable insights, evaluate data quality, and identify key features contributing to model performance. Use Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Snowflake for structured data storage, querying, and reporting using SQL and SnowSQL. Write and maintain Shell/Python scripts for automating post-processing workflows including model scoring, result archival, and report generation across environments (DEV, QA, PROD). Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor model performance in production, handle data drift/model decay, and participate in regular code and model review sessions. Build reproducible ML workflows in Databricks and GCP for training, testing, deployment, and governance using MLflow, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes). Requirements: Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Robotics, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Machine Learning Engineer or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with machine learning models. 40hrs/week.
