Full-Time Office Manager Primary Care and Urgent Care
Join SIMEDHealth’s patient-focused team as an experienced Office Manager in Gainesville, Florida!
This is a key leadership position within our largest department, supporting approximately 19 providers and 40 clinical and administrative staff members across our Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics. The Office Manager will also provide leadership and operational support to our High Springs and Lake City Primary Care offices. Routine travel to these locations is required.
The Office Manager is supported by front-office and back-office Clinical Coordinators who assist with daily workflows, staff support, and clinic operations. The Office Manager will supervise and develop these coordinators, delegate responsibilities effectively, and work through them to promote consistency and accountability across the department. The Office Manager will report to our Executive Director of Operations.
We are looking for an experienced healthcare manager who can lead a large team, partner effectively with providers, and maintain efficient, high-quality clinic operations.
What We’re Looking For

Associate degree or higher; relevant experience may substitute for education
-
At least 5 years of experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or hospital setting
-
At least 5-7 years of direct supervisory and management experience
-
Primary Care or Urgent Care experience strongly encouraged
-
Experience managing a large clinical and administrative team
-
Experience supervising and developing lead employees, coordinators, or other frontline leaders
-
Experience working directly with physicians and advanced care practitioners
-
Knowledge of medical office workflows, scheduling, electronic health records, billing, and regulatory requirements
-
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, delegation, and problem-solving skills
-
Experience with quality and value-based patient care arrangements a plus

Ability to travel routinely to SIMEDHealth’s High Springs and Lake City Primary Care offices
Your Responsibilities Will Include
-
Managing the daily operations of SIMEDHealth’s Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics
-
Directly supervising, coaching, and developing front-office and back-office Clinical Coordinators
-
Working through the Clinical Coordinators to support approximately 40 clinical and administrative employees
-
Establishing clear responsibilities and accountability for the Clinical Coordinators while remaining actively engaged in clinic operations

Supporting approximately 19 providers and facilitating communication among providers, staff, coordinators, and organizational leadership

Providing onsite leadership and operational support to the High Springs and Lake City Primary Care offices

Coordinating staffing and schedules with the Clinical Coordinators to ensure appropriate clinic coverage

Overseeing patient flow, appointment availability, schedule utilization, and clinic capacity
-
Recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing clinic employees
-
Establishing performance expectations and addressing employee performance or conduct concerns
-
Monitoring clinical and administrative work queues to ensure timely completion
-
Identifying workflow concerns and implementing operational improvements
-
Responding to patient concerns and helping resolve service issues

Collaborating with other departments to address staffing, billing, technology, compliance, and operational needs

Ensuring compliance with SIMEDHealth policies and applicable HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, safety, and regulatory requirements

Communicating staffing needs, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement to senior leadership.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gainesville, Florida, with routinely travel to our High Springs and Lake City Primary Care offices. Being on-site is essential to this position and remote work is unavailable.
