Lead Software Engineer (Test & Verification)
Company: The Boeing Company
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer (Test & Verification) to join the B-52J CERP Test team in Oklahoma City, OK
This position involves leading and directing other test engineers, determining the requirements, writing the tier three tests, and executing the tests. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
Position Responsibilities:

Leads the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality
-
Partners with stakeholders and leads the review and identification of software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability
-
Leads the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications
-
Advises on the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments
-
Leads executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes
-
Advises on test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
-
Leads creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards
-
Leads developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes

Leads software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree
-
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance Post-Start is required
-
9+ years of experience with requirements, test development, and/or verification testing
-
Professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
-
Experience developing STR, STD, SUM, test requirements, test cases, test procedures, and program tailored work instructions
-
Experience programming in Ada
-
Ability to develop/use Manual and Automated Test procedures.
-
Ability to perform analysis on test results
-
Experience overseeing activities in DOORS

Summary Pay Range: USD $118,150 - $ 159,850

To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Safety Sensitive: This is not a Safety Sensitive Position.
Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
