Full job description
Help Shape the Future of Firematic Supply Company
Firematic Supply Company has proudly served firefighters and first responders for more than 60 years. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources & Operations to join our executive leadership team and help build the people, systems, and operational excellence that will drive our next chapter.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves as much as shaping strategy. You'll lead Human Resources while partnering with company leadership to strengthen operations, develop leaders, improve organizational effectiveness, and preserve the culture that has made Firematic successful. If you're looking for a position where you can make a visible impact—not just oversee it—this is an exceptional opportunity.
What You'll Do
-
Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day HR and operational initiatives.
-
Lead all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR systems.
-
Coach and support managers, resolve complex employee issues, and help build a high-performing culture.
-
Partner with department leaders to improve processes, accountability, communication, and operational efficiency.
-
Lead organizational initiatives including growth, change management, and business process improvements.
-
Develop practical, scalable systems and policies that support a growing multi-location organization.
What You'll Bring
-
Significant leadership experience in Human Resources, Operations, or both.
-
Strong knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational development, and multi-state HR compliance.
-
Experience partnering with senior executives while also being comfortable executing and following through on key initiatives.
-
A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
-
Experience in a growing, privately held or family-owned business is preferred.
Why Firematic?
At Firematic, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a respected, family-owned company dedicated to serving those who protect our communities. We're looking for a leader who isn't afraid to jump in, solve problems, develop people, and help build the next chapter of Firematic's success.
