Staff Pharmacist - Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Previous long-term care experience is helpful but not required for candidates with strong pharmacy backgrounds and a willingness to learn.

Description

Verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness

Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations

Support pharmacy technicians and provide guidance as needed

Assist with workflow management and day-to-day pharmacy operations

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, facility staff, patients, and caregivers

Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives

Support inventory control and pharmacy operations

Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency efforts

Assist with specialty pharmacy services, including IV operations when applicable

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active Pharmacist license in good standing

Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Leadership mentality with a willingness to mentor and support team members

Long-term care, closed-door, specialty, or hospital pharmacy experience is a plus but not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
