Founded in 1967, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center presents work by diverse artists, from the vernacular to classically trained and from local to global perspectives. JMKAC establishes a community locally and nationally with its rotating, original contemporary art exhibitions, live performances and events, classes, workshops, and on-site preschool. We are currently seeking a dynamic Grants Manager to lead our efforts in securing foundation, corporate, and government grants. About The Role In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape compelling proposals and budgets, build and steward relationships with funders, and identify new sources of support. Work Schedule: Hours of work include daytime hours MondayFriday and occasionally Saturday and Sunday to meet staffing and/or event needs. Successful Candidates Will Have: Motivated self-starter and collaborative team player Detail-oriented, with solid time management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities for projects with time-sensitive deadlines Adaptable and proven ability to pivot in a fast-paced work environment Skilled in research and soliciting information from diverse sources Demonstrated success in meeting financial goals and objectives Essential Job Duties: Initiate and partner with staff across the organization to understand funding priorities, document and articulate program activities, outcomes, and intended impact, plan grant and report submissions, and corporate sponsorship reports. Initiate ideas and input from program and finance staff that inform the creation of project narratives, outcomes, objectives, metrics, budgets, and other supporting documents. Synthesize organizational information to write funding proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports focused on supporting programs in the annual operating budget Manage the administration of the organization-wide grants process, and the grants and reports calendar, including deadlines, contact and relationship details, and move management activity in CRM, tracking progress toward goals.
