Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Business Project Manager to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role will serve as the primary business lead for the Asset Management workstream, partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Supply Chain, Finance, and EHS leaders, as well as a dedicated Technical Project Manager. The EAM Business PM is accountable for driving business process transformation, stakeholder alignment, business readiness, and adoption of future-state asset management capabilities. The role focuses on ensuring that asset-intensive business functions are prepared to successfully transition to new processes and systems while realizing measurable operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities Asset Management Transformation Leadership

Serve as the primary business lead for the Enterprise Asset Management workstream.

Partner with business leaders to define transformation objectives, priorities, and success measures.

Drive adoption of standardized asset management processes and operating models.

Facilitate alignment across Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Materials Management, and Supply Chain organizations.

Lead discussions and decisions related to business process design and organizational impacts. Business Engagement & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary liaison between the program and EAM business stakeholders.

Build strong relationships with plant leaders, maintenance managers, reliability teams, planners, schedulers, and operations personnel.

Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, and decision forums.

Escalate business risks, issues, and decisions as needed.

Prepare executive communications, status reports, and leadership presentations. Business Process Transformation Coordinate business activities supporting transformation across key Asset Management processes, including:

Partner closely with the Technical PM to align business priorities with solution delivery.

Manage business risks, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.

Ensure operational commitments and business milestones are achieved.

Monitor readiness indicators and operational impacts.

Participate in program governance and steering committee reviews. Testing, Readiness & Deployment

Coordinate participation from maintenance, reliability, and operations teams during testing.

Ensure business users are prepared for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Validate business scenarios and operational acceptance criteria.

Support business cutover planning and deployment readiness activities.

Coordinate business support during go-live and hypercare. Organizational Change & Adoption

Partner with Change Management resources to evaluate organizational impacts.

Support development of communication and training plans.

Drive stakeholder engagement and change adoption activities.

Help operational teams prepare for changes to maintenance processes, roles, and responsibilities.

Identify and mitigate adoption risks.

Ideal Consultant Profile We are seeking a business-focused transformation leader who can quickly establish credibility with maintenance, reliability, operations, and asset management leaders. The ideal consultant understands how asset-intensive organizations operate and can drive business decisions regarding maintenance strategies, work execution, asset data, planning and scheduling, reliability improvements, and operational readiness. They are comfortable working across corporate functions and field operations while maintaining focus on business outcomes. This individual will focus on operational transformation, business readiness, stakeholder alignment, and adoption, while partnering with a dedicated Technical PM responsible for SAP configuration, integrations, development, conversions, environments, and technical deployment activities.
Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience leading Asset Management, Maintenance, Reliability, or Operations transformation initiatives.

Experience serving as a Business PM, Workstream Lead, or Transformation Lead within large ERP or digital transformation programs.
-
At least one full SAP S/4HANA implementation or major ERP transformation.
-
Strong understanding of enterprise asset management and maintenance operations.
-
Experience working with plant operations, maintenance organizations, and field-based teams.
-
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive complex business decisions.
-
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and organizational change leadership skills.
-
Multiple SAP EAM or Plant Maintenance (PM) transformation programs.

Experience within asset-intensive industries such as: o Energy o Oil & Gas o Chemicals o Utilities o Mining o Manufacturing o Transportation

Experience with: o SAP S/4HANA EAM o SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) o SAP Asset Manager o SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) o Mobile Maintenance Solutions o Linear Asset Management o GIS Integration

PMP, MBA, CMRP, CRL, or equivalent certifications.
