About This Position: This position is responsible for the Statewide management of non-movable asset data within DOTD's Maintenance Management Systems (MMS). This requires a thorough working knowledge of the AgileAssets system, the Plant Maintenance module of LaGov ERP, and a technical knowledge of DOTD non-moveable assets. The incumbent applies knowledge of DOTD operations in the management and upkeep of asset data within the MMS program, including specific analysis to prepare correspondence, documentation, program presentations, and program management reports. While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Services laws, rules and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.
Seven years of experience in the development, implementation, or administration of a transportation or safety program; or in engineering, architecture, geography, human resources, financial operations, information technology, risk management, policy planning, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in the development, implementation, or administration of a transportation or safety program; or in engineering, architecture, geography, human resources, financial operations, information technology, risk management, policy planning, or administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in the development, implementation, or administration of a transportation or safety program; or in engineering, architecture, geography, human resources, financial operations, information technology, risk management, policy planning, or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus three years of experience in the development, implementation, or administration of a transportation or safety program; or in engineering, architecture, geography, human resources, financial operations, information technology, risk management, policy planning, or administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Manage and oversee statewide asset data maintenance, including supervising 9 district asset specialists and ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent data through QA/QC Processes.

Lead the development and implementation of new asset types within LADOTD’s Maintenance Management System (MMS), including data requirements, system configuration, reporting, and security needs.

Coordinate with HQ, districts, Agile Assets, GIS, and other stakeholders to ensure asset information supports operational, budgeting, Level of Service, and management requirements.

Develop and maintain data-collection tools, applications, procedures, and training to ensure consistent statewide asset inventory and data auditing.

Support the development and maintenance of the MQA Program and perform additional duties, including emergency/disaster support as needed.
Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: This position is open to only current permanent classified DOTD employees; and may be filled by detail to special duty. Compensation: This position is a AS-620 with the starting pay at $28.98 per hour.
