Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Local and national travel options are available dependent on need

  • Facility: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals

  • Department: Ascension Premier Staffing - Occupational Therapy

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 40 hours per week

  • Gross Rate up to $2,385 per week

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Assess and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits.

  • Evaluate independent living skills to design safe, effective plans of care, including treatment type and frequency.

  • Execute treatment plans using appropriate modalities, document progress, and modify care plans as needed.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on deficits, assist with discharge planning, and provide guidance on adaptive equipment and support programs.

  • Oversee certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to regulations and practice standards.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Registered Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR)

  • Drivers License preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Additional Preferences:

  • 1 + years of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist
