Job Description: Insight Global is seeking an AI Engineer, Data & Analytics for a global industrial technology client undergoing significant digital transformation. This team is responsible for developing enterprise-scale Generative AI products built within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a strong software engineering foundation combined with hands-on experience building GenAI solutions, LLM-powered applications, agent workflows, and cloud-native services. This individual will join a rapidly growing AI organization and immediately contribute to the development of innovative AI products that solve complex enterprise business challenges. The team is looking for engineers who can hit the ground running, follow strong software development practices, and help scale cutting-edge AI solutions across the organization.

Day-to-Day:

• Build and enhance enterprise Generative AI products
• Develop AI-powered applications and services on Azure
• Design and build APIs supporting AI solutions
• Implement agentic AI workflows and LLM-powered functionality
• Collaborate with AI engineers, software engineers, cloud engineers, and product teams
• Contribute to production-grade software development and engineering best practices
• Support scalability and performance improvements across AI platforms
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical problem solving
• Build reusable software components and AI services
• Work on high-visibility AI initiatives driving digital transformation across the business

Skills and Requirements

Must-Haves:

• 2-5+ years of experience in software engineering with hands-on Generative AI experience

• Strong Python development skills

• Experience building production-grade applications and APIs

• Experience with GenAI/LLMs and agent-based architectures

• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar

• Experience deploying solutions in Azure cloud environments

• Strong software engineering fundamentals including: o API design o CI/CD practices o Version control o Scalable application architecture

• Experience building enterprise AI applications

• Ability to work within a large engineering team environment

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time Plusses:

• Microsoft AI ecosystem experience

• Azure OpenAI Services

• Azure Machine Learning

• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementations

• Vector databases and embeddings

• Data science or machine learning background

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI products

• Experience within manufacturing, industrial technology, IoT, or smart building environments

• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural decisions

• Candidates located near Dallas-Fort Worth or Milwaukee
