Job Summary:

The Registry and Performance Improvement Coordinator will work directly with cardiovascular leadership, providers and staff at all levels of the organization to evaluate processes, identify opportunities, facilitate change, and implement improvements. Accordingly, candidates should be an expert in the following: use of PI tools, consultation/facilitation, data analysis, project management, change management, and executive level presentations. The coordinator is an agent of change and must also be capable of forming relationships quickly at all levels in the organization, be able to adapt to shifts in priorities, demonstrate executive presence, possess effective interpersonal skills, be able to establish good working relationships, be able to foster cooperation in others, and be a creative problem-solver. The Coordinator is responsible for abstracting and overseeing manual data accrual processes and conducting outcomes analysis to support quality improvement initiatives, research projects, regulatory reporting requirements, and external quality registries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data management, registry coordination, and outcomes analysis.

Accountabilities :

  • A. Registry: Oversee the management and maintenance of clinical registries and databases to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement standardized data collection procedures and protocols for registry maintenance.
  1. Manual Data Accrual: Perform manual data accrual processes to collect and compile data from various sources, includingmedical records, registries, and other clinical databases. Ensure timely and accurate data accrual for quality measures,performance indicators, and research projects.

  2. Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of collected data. Address data discrepancies and inconsistencies through data reconciliation and validation processes.

  • B. Leadership re: the project planning and discovery, including scoping and the development of the strategic, operational, and financial goals.
  1. Implementation/execution of hospital-based projects.

  2. Delivery of executive level presentations

  • C. Utilizes Lean Six Sigma performance improvement methodologies to improve processes in clinical, diagnostic/procedural, support, and administrative departments.
  1. Enabling a cooperative environment of open communication and mutual respect among all team members

  2. Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear.

  3. Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.

  2. Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and recent acute care cardiovascular experience required. Previous cardiovascular registry abstracting experience required. Previous performance improvement experience required.

  • Master’s Degree preferred
