Eastman Kodak Company is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of its workforce, and we are seeking a Nurse Case Manager/RN to guide employees through the medical leave process, promote full recovery, and facilitate a smooth return to work. This role also partners closely with employees managing chronic health conditions to help them maintain their health and perform their jobs without restrictions.

This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days a week onsite in Rochester, New York after a training period.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to Kodak employees while advocating for their full recovery and timely return to work.

  • Assist in facilitating appropriate and timely medical care with the goal of returning the employee to their pre-injury or illness state.

  • Provide support to employees during absences, while emphasizing Kodak’s commitment to keeping its employees healthy and active.

  • Work with supervisors to assess their ability to accommodate employee restrictions.

  • Ongoing medical management of work-related injury and non-work-related medical absences and documentation of case updates, diagnoses, prognosis, and projected return to work goals in the electronic medical record.

  • Creating an employee centered care plan for absences and documenting thorough assessments, nursing diagnosis, plan and evaluation of care plan goals and interventions.

  • Referrals to community agencies and company benefits for facilitating employee recovery

  • Receipt and review of documentation to support employee absences and ensure compliance with Kodak’s policies and state and federal regulations.

  • Ongoing and regular communication with employees, medical providers, supervisors, Human Resources, and other members of the occupational health team to ensure that all parties are aligned and informed.

  • Work closely with the workers’ compensation third party administrator to ensure swift treatment authorizations and appropriate care.

  • Collaborate with the workers’ compensation third party administrator to determine when an independent medical exam or functional capacity assessment is appropriate.

  • Participation in webinars, seminars, etc. to keep abreast of new OSHA regulations and other state or federal laws impacting Kodak’s occupational health program and employee absences.

  • Perform all job functions in accordance with local, state, and federal laws as well as Kodak’s policies. Comply with national case management standards and nursing code of conduct.

  • Evaluation of job functions to assess ergonomic improvements and preventative programs.

  • Testimony in the event of legal proceedings arising from an employee absence or injury, as needed.

  • Participation in Challenging Case meetings with the Kodak Medical and HR teams to discuss complicated cases and ensure alignment when developing a resolution plan.

  • Participation in Morning Market calls pertaining to workplace injuries, as needed.

  • Assist with other Kodak-sponsored health and wellness activities such as wellness fairs and flu shot clinics.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with an active Registered Nurse License in NY

  • 5+ years of clinical nursing experience

  • 2+ years of experience in telephonic nurse case management experience, with occupational health case management preferred

  • Working knowledge of general workers’ compensation, disability, FMLA, and ADA laws

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of internal and external clients and conflict resolution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in operating Microsoft Office suite programs

  • Time management and multitasking skills to balance oversight of multiple projects and unique situations arising unexpectedly

  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to report to Rochester, NY office 5 days/week during training and then 3 days per week upon completion of training

  • Lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally

  • This is primarily a sedentary role, however there are times when climbing up to 2 flights of stairs, carrying items, and walking is required during Kodak-sponsored activities

  • Ability to use keyboard, phone, and computer for up to 8 hours per day
