Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager V – Commissioning / Readiness Assurance in Rayville, LA. This role verifies that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems are installed, tested, and performing per design intent and the Owner’s Project Requirements before handover to operations, owning commissioning Levels 1–5 across a multi-building, multi-General-Contractor campus. The defining work of the role is analytical: decomposing each system into its actual functional dependencies — what must demonstrably be true, and in what order, for a given verification step to produce a valid result — and distinguishing those genuine technical prerequisites from the inherited sequencing conventions, trade preferences, and accumulated schedule margin that build up on a large multi-contractor site. Where a precondition is not technically necessary to the integrity of the test or the reliability of the installed system, this role designs the better path: partial system energization, area-by-area acceptance, or parallel verification of independent subsystems, each supported by a documented technical basis, compensating controls, and defined retest obligations. The effect is to unlock value streams and schedules that are held by convention rather than by engineering necessity — without compromising safety, quality, or the completeness and defensibility of the turnover record. The Construction Manager V will engage, collaborate with, and inform key internal and external stakeholders, including multiple General Contractors and their trade partners, design, change management, and Meta leadership, to keep readiness progress predictable and transparent while maintaining full compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and Meta’s contract and audit requirements.

Responsibilities: Reviewing commissioning plans, scripts, schedules, and test procedures aligned to the Owner’s Project Requirements and design documents; reviewing design documents, submittals, sequences of operation, and shop drawings for constructability, testability, and compliance. Owning the conditions-precedent register for each system and building: defining entry criteria per Cx level, verifying them by field inspection and test record rather than contractor assertion, and publishing a readiness status that Meta leadership and every General Contractor works from. Managing open conditions end to end: intake, technical assessment, owner assignment, escalation, and verified closure — with a standing bias toward resolving the underlying condition rather than administering the log. Validating asserted finish-to-start dependencies to confirm whether each is a genuine technical predecessor, and where the technical basis supports it, developing optimized sequencing options — partial system turnover, area-by-area acceptance, or parallel execution — each supported by a documented basis, compensating controls, and defined retest obligations. Attending commissioning and readiness review meetings across multiple General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams; preparing clear and concise messages and supporting content so that decisions, impacts, and required actions are understood across all affected parties.

Witnessing Levels 1–5 commissioning; validating BMS/EPMS controls, alarms, setpoints, trending, and failure-mode response during integrated testing. Collaborating with cross-functional partners — construction management, change management, design, scheduling, security, network, and operations — to resolve shared-space and interface conflicts between contractors and owner furnished equipment vendors to keep commissioning deliverables on track. Coordinating closely with change management so that any sequencing decision, added test scope, or rework arising from readiness findings is captured through the established change process with correct entitlement determination. Enforcing quality and safety systems, including safe work practices, LOTO, energization sequencing, and arc flash/PPE compliance throughout testing; ensuring equipment is protected and reporting any lag in the schedule or emerging technical risk.

Pay is between 50-80/hr
