This role ensures a safe, efficient, and compliant environment that supports appliedresearch, pilot-scale production, prototyping, and industry collaboration.In addition to facility operations, thisposition plays a critical role in industry engagement, client development, and revenue-generating activities. TheManager serves as a key liaison between university researchers, industrypartners, government agencies, andexternal clients to expand facilityutilizationand support innovation and commercialization efforts. Duties and Responsibilities Facility Operations and Management-40% - Overseesdaily operations of Prove-Out facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and process utility systems {=html} - Conductsroutine inspections to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance {=html} - Coordinatespreventive maintenance and repairs with internal staff and contractors {=html} - Maintainscompliance with university policies and OSHA/regulatory standards {=html} - Managesfacility access, safety systems, and operational readiness {=html} - Maintainsrecords of maintenance, equipment, and facility usage {=html} - Supportssetup and coordination of pilot-scale and demonstration activities Research, Pilot Operations, and Industry Engagement-30% - Identifiesand pursuesopportunities to increase facilityutilizationand revenue generation {=html} - Supportsapplied research and pilot-scale operations in collaboration with researchers and partners {=html} - Assistswith installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of specialized equipment {=html} - Developsandmaintainsrelationships with industry partners and external clients {=html} - Promotesfacility capabilities to support R&D, prototyping, and scale-up activities {=html} - Supportsdevelopment of sponsored projects, fee-for-service work, and client engagements Project and Capital Improvement Management-20% - Managesfacility renovation, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment installation projects {=html} - Developsproject scopes, budgets, and schedules {=html} - Coordinateswith engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders {=html} - Ensuresprojects are completed safely, on time, and within budget {=html} - Supportsplanning of future facility capabilities and expansions Other Duties as assigned 10% Performsadditionalresponsibilities as delegated to support the mission andstrategicgoals of
