JOB INFORMATION

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for benefit plan administration including regulatory compliance, coordination, and communication. Involved with all qualified and non-qualified employee benefit plans and works closely with health and welfare benefit plan vendors, company management, and other partners to ensure effective administration, coordination, and communication of all employee benefit plans.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Complex responsibilities related to primary focus of job area. Uses best practices and in-depth business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products or services. May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for benefit-related regulatory compliance, assuring all filing deadlines are met and communications and disclosure requirements are fulfilled for the Company.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for member and retiree questions related to health and welfare, retirement, and wellness benefits, ensuring inquiries are answered in an accurate and timely manner; partner with appropriate vendors for escalated member issues and monitoring to resolution.

  • Monitor benefit costs through invoice payment and management; work closely with Total Rewards leadership to identify operational efficiencies in alignment of the organization’s long term strategic goals.

  • Provide guidance, support and direction to Benefits team members, assisting with more complex benefit- and leave-related issues and as needed

  • Lead open enrollment activities for benefits programs, such as preparing census data, scheduling meetings, compiling benefit materials, communicating logistics and deadlines to members, and educating members on plan designs and selections.

  • In conjunction with the Sr. Leave Specialist, provide support for the organization's wellness and lifestyle benefits, working closely with Benefits leadership to identify possible products and services and implementing programs.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal partners and external vendors, ensuring appropriate service levels are met.

  • Develop, generate and analyze reports on various benefit plans and utilization, claims trends, and cost drivers to identify areas for improvement, cost savings, and efficiency.

  • Research, design and manage health, wellness, retirement and other benefit programs that align with the company's objectives and enhance employee engagement and retention.

  • Lead the continuious improvement of benefits technology, reporting, automation, and digital processes, identifying opportunities to engance effieiency, data integrity, compliance, and member experience.

  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree And 5 years of directly related experience; Or

  • High School Diploma/GED And 9 years of directly related experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Member will not be required to drive in order to perform their job duties.

  • Member is not required to perform any safety sensitive duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, engaging presentations to diverse audiences, including small-and-large group sessions, while explaining complex information clearly and responding confidently to questions.

  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting and problems solving skills.

  • Knowledge of laws, deadlines, and requirements impacting benefits programs, including but not limited to ERISA, CMS, DOL, IRS and FMLA.

  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, employees and leaders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong aptitude for leveraging technology to improve business processes, including experience with HRIS systems, benefits administration platforms, workflow automation, data analytics, and reporting tools.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet changing requirements and deadlines.

  • Ability to operate a personal computer using MS Office Suite, with demonstrated high-level proficiency in Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with diverse personalities and difficult situations.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to analyze benefits data to monitor trends, evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations

SALARY RANGE

$79,643 - $106,184
