Position Summary

The Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship, one of the four Centers of Excellence in the Lundquist College of Business, is looking for a dynamic and innovative professional to join its team as its Operations Manager. As the primary administrative officer, you will help direct LCE’s operations while informing its strategic initiatives, contributing to the realization of its mission and goals.

You will exercise broad responsibility and independent decision-making authority, overseeing crucial functions such as, project management, event management, and supervision of a dedicated team of student employees, fostering a collaborative and thriving work environment. You will also play a key role in strategy and design, communications and marketing, and systems and coordination management.

As the key connection between LCE leadership, the Dean’s Office, and the University, you will play a vital role in aligning the center's business operations with the university's guidelines. Your collaborative efforts with the Director will be instrumental in driving the unit's success.

Minimum Requirements

Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and

Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, and discretion in handling sensitive information, resolving conflicts, and making operational decisions.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability, accuracy, diligence, and follow-through.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects, programs, events, and partnerships.

  • Proficiency with business software and technology, including electronic calendars, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale or signature events involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, or participants.

  • Experience working in a higher education environment, including supporting academic programs, centers, or student-focused initiatives.

  • Experience working directly with students, including supervision, mentoring, advising, or program coordination.

  • Experience supporting business operations, program administration, or project management within a complex organization.
