Description

We are seeking an Attorney to join a well-established plaintiff-side personal injury practice in California. Newly barred attorneys are encouraged to apply—this is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to launch their legal career, gain substantive litigation experience, and advocate on behalf of injured plaintiffs.

We have made multiple successful placements with this firm and have seen attorneys build their skills and careers within the practice. The firm offers hands-on involvement in significant personal injury matters, regular courtroom exposure, mentorship from experienced litigators, and a structured environment that supports professional development and long-term advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage personal injury matters from initial strategy through resolution, with guidance and mentorship as appropriate.

  • Draft and file motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.

  • Conduct and defend depositions, attend court appearances, and assist with discovery.

  • Participate in settlement negotiations and develop skills in evaluating case value and litigation strategy.

  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings, with opportunities for meaningful courtroom experience.

  • Participate in regular case review meetings to discuss developments, strategy, and next steps.

  • Collaborate with attorneys across active matters, including deposition coverage and other litigation support.

  • Maintain organized case files and follow established firm procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of litigation experience as a practicing attorney.

  • Background in plaintiff or defense personal injury litigation, such as motor vehicle, premises liability, or catastrophic injury matters.

  • Hands-on deposition experience, including taking or defending witness testimony.

  • Active attorney license in good standing.

  • Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other civil litigation filings.

  • Working knowledge of discovery practice and day-to-day case management in civil matters.

  • Ability to operate effectively within a structured, process-oriented legal environment.

  • Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills.
