Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Trash Slinger:

• Operate as a helper on the back of a garbage collection truck collecting solid waste along designated routes

• Direct the driver when pulling into traffic, backing up, and maneuvering at disposal facilities

• Assist the driver with tasks during waste collection routes

• Check vehicle operating and safety conditions, perform minor servicing, and report repair needs

• Direct incoming vehicles to designated dumping areas at solid waste disposal facilities

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 3rd Shift (Night)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Knowledge of standardized work routines used in solid waste collection operations

• Knowledge of work routines and procedures for collecting solid waste materials for disposal, reuse, and recycling

• Ability to lift 100+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day

• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including inclement weather

• Ability to carry, reach, bend, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday

• Ability to perform physically demanding work

• Drug test required
