Basic Overview-General Job Duties and Additional Information 1. Follow all Safety policies and rules of the plant. Wear proper PPE supplied by the company free of charge in required areas and/or operation of equipment. MUST understand SAFETY is our main priority! *PPE requirements are listed on signage above each piece of equipment. 2. Assembly of samples for the building products industry, following a provided spec sheet with the customer's requirement. (We do not make building materials but samples for the industry) 3. Package finished product, label and palletize for shipping 4. Work in a typical light manufacturing plant with varying temperatures, noise levels dust levels, etc. 5. Operate equipment as needed after fully trained and aware of safety features 6. Wear shoes that totally enclose the feet and long pants are required *NO shorts! 7. Duties will require standing and walking on a cement floor during the entire shift. * These are not sitting positions 8. Follow basic written and oral instructions as provided. Should be able to read a tape measure 9. Maintain a neat and clean work area. Dispose of trash as needed/required. All employees/contractors are responsible for housekeeping and 5-S. 10. Willingness to learn and be trained on various job functions 11. Positive attitude 12. Ability to interact with fellow employees and plant leadership in a professional manner 13. Product is light in weight that is being assembled or processed, but must be able to lift, bend and carry boxes. 14. Must be flexible in duties assigned and areas of plant assigned to-may change from time to time 15. Must be able to work independently but also as part of a team to achieve a common goal 16. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
