The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine, the UVM Medical Center and UVM Health Medical Group, is seeking an academic clinician with experience in hematology to join our academic faculty. The focus of the role will include classical hematology including thrombosis and hemostasis; however, inclusion of malignant hematology will be considered and defined based on candidate experience and interests. The position is available at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway. This position involves approximately 80-90% effort toward clinical care focused on Hematology including thrombosis and hemostasis as well as classical hematology with the remaining effort protected for education and scholarly activities. Substantial opportunities exist for collaborative and translational research with investigators at the UVM Larner College of Medicine.

Applicants must be ABIM board certified/board eligible in Medical Hematology and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont and New York, for privileges at UVM Medical Center, and for faculty appointment at the University of Vermont. Candidates should have a record of or potential for productive clinical research or other academic output.

Anticipated Pay Range

Assistant Professor: $375,000 -$425,000

Associate Professor: $400,000-$475,000

Professor: $450,000-$500,000

The referenced salary ranges reflect the combined total range based on dual employment by both the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Medical Group. The salary ranges do not include all components of compensation. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary ranges stated herein.
