Expected salary range of $159,300 to $177,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

As the Senior Manager of Customer Experience and Sponsorships, this role spearheads our major internal events supporting executive leadership, external conferences focused on energy and climate, and management of sports sponsorship efforts. This position is key for increasing brand visibility, boosting customer interaction, and nurturing industry connections through innovative and exclusive experiences representative of a Fortune 200 company. You'll need a strategic outlook, creativity, and operational expertise, and have experience managing large, complex events and prominent sponsorships. Duties include coordinating with department leaders within the organization such as commercial and policy leadership, generation, and corporate affairs. This role oversees a team of 3-4 experienced marketing professionals and event analysts. Additionally, this role manages the annual budget planning cycle and monthly budget management across the team supporting over $15M in marketing spend across the corporate and commercial business lines.

This role will be responsible for directing the strategy, creation, and implementation of a comprehensive sponsorship program of 20+ contracts that involves multi-channel strategies aimed at key stakeholder groups including C&I customers, policy elites and employees. Additionally, managing the tracking and analysis of marketing performance throughout this portfolio and broader marketing activities. Collaboration is key with internal teams and external partners and will ensure the development of successful, impactful and innovative customer engagements for Constellation.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Lead strategic external sports, industry, and policy events and select internal programming tied to major sponsorship investments, ensuring alignment across marketing assets, stakeholder communications, and brand objectives.

  • Deliver high impact customer engagement experiences across in person, virtual, and hybrid formats that support thought leadership, executive networking, and communication of Constellation's brand value and energy solutions.

  • Direct an effective marketing team by offering mentorship, direction, and chances for career advancement to encourage progress and achievement. Promote staff involvement and uphold the company's values throughout the organization to build trust broadly. Key management duties include conducting bi-weekly/monthly one-on-one sessions, team meetings, and endorsing the organization’s core values.

  • Manage ROI reports for sponsorship investments to enhance brand awareness and growth opportunities. Use contractual assets and work with teams to develop in person face-to-face hospitality to drive loyalty and engagement among customers and colleagues. Track and adjust the marketing benefits of sponsorships and associated investments regularly under contract terms. Each season, use research to reassess and update strategies to align with business objectives and data analysis and present to senior leadership. Using financial acumen, manage the annual budget planning cycle and monthly budget management across the team supporting nearly $15MM in marketing budget across the corporate and commercial business lines.

  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders include including commercial and corporate leadership teams. Communicating and setting expectations, roles and responsibilities of event components to provide exclusive and unique experiences for attendees while ensuring consistent brand expression and authentic storytelling. Provide ongoing reporting to Sales leadership on status of customer events as well as monthly marketing scorecard and retail scorecard data.

  • Establish vehicles to communicate events across the Enterprise with the goal of establishing clear roles/responsibilities and outlining expectations for executives in attendance. Deliver post-event recaps and reporting inclusive of recommendations and measured business contributors. Manage end-to-end contracting, planning, and execution of the largest customer-facing sponsorship in Constellation’s portfolio.. Host the in-person Constellation Executive Energy Forum conference to reinforce industry leadership, in addition to other industry engagements. Own and evolve executive leadership events and high-profile internal programming. Demonstrate technical proficiency for content delivery across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Leverage contracted assets across sports sponsorships (20+) to provide unique and memorable experiences representative of a Fortune 200 brand. Proactively engage Integrated Marketing team and align on proposed thought leadership.

  • Support marketing team objectives by providing coverage as needed to ensure business continuity during absences, staffing transitions, and onboarding of new team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications

  • 10+ years in marketing, event project management or communications.

  • Proven leadership, credibility, interpersonal and team skills.

  • A proven track record of vision, creative thinking, and coordination of complex programs, including large-scale marketing, and sponsorship efforts.

  • Proven experience leading by example and managing a team of direct reports to yield a high-performing team with a shared vision and culture

  • Experience in results-oriented and deadline-driven environments.

  • Excellent written and oral communications a must

  • Exceptional presentation skills required

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work, seek advice, and develop solutions in a team environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Superior attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy industry

  • Experience managing through mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and staffing and organizational design
