Job Title: Graduate Assistant

Office/Location: SUNY Fredonia Campus, Thompson Hall

Job Summary:

The BranchED ELITE Project is seeking a full-time graduate student to serve as a Graduate

Assistant (GA) for approximately 10 hours per week. The GA will support the planning and

implementation of professional development sessions and family literacy night events, assist with

project coordination, and contribute to evaluation activities, including data collection, organization, and

analysis. The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with

faculty, educators, families, and community partners.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing professional development sessions for educators.

  • Assist with planning and coordinating family literacy night events and other project activities.

  • Prepare and organize materials and resources for professional development sessions an literacy events.

  • Assist with participant recruitment and the informed consent process, including distributing consent materials and obtaining required consent in accordance with approved research protocols.

  • Assist with data collection, including surveys and other project-related evaluation activities.

  • Organize, enter, clean, and manage project data while maintaining participant confidentiality.

  • Assist with qualitative and quantitative data analysis, as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate project records and research documentation.

  • Attend project meetings and provide other project support as needed.

Job Requirements:

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Current enrollment as a full-time graduate student

  • CITI Human Subject Research training certification

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

  • Background in education, literacy, early childhood/childhood education, or a related field

  • Experience with research, data collection, data management, or data analysis

  • Experience working with children, families, educators, or community-based programs

Compensation- $16 an hour
