General Manager 2 - Environmental Services / Custodial

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager of Environmental Services/Custodial operations for Ingleside at Rock Creek Retirement Community located in Washington, DC. This is an upscale continuing care retirement community with approx. 300 residents.

This GM will oversee custodial operations & laundry. Strong financial acumen & leadership skills are needed. Will train & mentor approx. 40 employees. Knowledge of housekeeping standards including floor care is needed.

About the job

In this essential leadership role, you’ll be responsible for guiding environmental services operations to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll manage day-to-day performance, oversee budgets, and champion safety while inspiring your team to meet and exceed service expectations.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $77605 per year - $100430 per year

Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary
