Low Voltage Helper

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Full-Time | Travel Required

Position Overview

Seeking a dependable and motivated Low Voltage Helper to support the installation of structured cabling, telecommunications, security, and other low voltage systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction experience, cabling experience, or strong technical aptitude who wants to build a long-term career in the low voltage industry.

This position involves travel Monday through Friday throughout the year to project sites across the region. Employees who enjoy working with their hands, learning new skills, and traveling for work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with the installation of low voltage systems and infrastructure

  • Pull, route, label, and organize copper and fiber optic cabling

  • Assist with terminating, testing, and troubleshooting cabling systems

  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Read and follow project drawings, layouts, and work instructions

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

  • Follow company safety procedures and customer site requirements

  • Travel to project sites as needed throughout the year

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license

  • Reliable transportation

  • Construction, cabling, telecommunications, electrical, or related experience preferred

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites

  • Must be willing to travel Monday through Friday for projects throughout the year

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn

Preferred

  • Experience pulling or terminating low voltage cabling

  • Commercial construction experience

  • Telecommunications, data, fiber optic, or security system experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
