\n The Linux System Administrator will be responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations,monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages LINUX and Windows operating systems\x26nbsp;and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. \n

Implement, maintain, and enhance complex research infrastructure and its security posture across classified/unclassified spaces \n

Perform Linux and Windows system administration for workstations and servers \n

\n </li>\n

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate GOTS/COTS/open-source solutions \n

\n </li>\n

Support and administer virtualization platforms, compute/storage, and remote access solutions \n

\n </li>\n

Configure and troubleshoot networking and TCP/IP (switching/routing basics, port activation, patching/cabling) \n

\n </li>\n

Build, maintain, and update gold images for Linux and Windows systems; apply baseline configurations and hardening best practices \n

\n </li>\n

Execute routine patching and system/tool updates, and assist with audit/readiness tasks \n

\n </li>\n

Support security administration activities such as endpoint protection, malware detection, intrusion detection, and logging/auditing solutions \n

\n </li>\n

Physically set up, cable, label, and power systems; implement required physical controls in secure spaces \n

\n </li>\n

Execute approved procedures for sanitizing and releasing system components/media \n

\n </li>\n

Maintain working knowledge of security policies, technical safeguards, and operational security measures \n

Minimum of 3+ years of experience and a Bachelors, 1+ years and a Masters, or a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline. 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree, for a total of 7 years of experience \n

Demonstrated experience conducting Linux system administration in operational environments. \n

\n </li>\n

Demonstrated work delivery experience supporting IT and telecommunications \n

\n </li>\n

Experience installing/configuring IT/network hardware and software \n

\n </li>\n

Strong communication/ and collaboration skills supporting integrated teams (customer, subcontractors) \n

\n </li>\n

Ability to document configurations and procedures clearly \n

Advanced troubleshooting experience with complex network issues such as IPSec, VXLAN, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS \n

Experience administering security tooling such as enterprise antivirus/EDR, malware detection, IDS, and audit/logging solutions \n

Familiarity with open-source security/network tools (e.g., Snort) \n
