Position Title: Supervisor of AV Services (Position Number 2627-3933)

Location: District Administrative Office

Starting Date: December 1, 2026

Position Summary: This is a supervisory position in a school district responsible for the organization of a center for the procurement, cataloging, and repair of audio-visual equipment and facilities. This position works collaboratively to support audio-visual needs during the instructional day and evening events.

Supervisor: The Supervisor of AV Services reports directly to the Director of Educational Technology and Information.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associates degree or sixty college level semester credit hours in Audiovisual Technology or a closely related field, plus two years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in the scheduling, preparing or operating of audiovisual materials and equipment; OR

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree, plus three years of experience as defined in (1) above; OR

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, plus four years of experience as defined in (1) above; OR

  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1), (2), and (3) above

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supports District Administrative Offices communication needs

  • Produces presentation media for Superintendent

  • Produces, records, and streams Board of Education presentations and other district and/or community events

  • Assists in the preparation and administration of the annual budget

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, edit, and deliver high-quality video content for district-wide initiatives.

  • Reviews and recommends audio-visual resources to support instructional and administrative staff

  • Develops and maintains media materials for audio-visual presentation.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues to ensure uninterrupted use in instructional settings.

  • Sets up and manages audio and lighting equipment for meetings, events, and concerts during and after the instructional day

  • Liaison with building site team members, outside vendors and BOCES to support events across the district.

  • Other duties as designated by the Director of Educational Technology and Information or Superintendent.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills.

  • Experience with video editing and all aspects of video production is required.

  • Experience with multimedia equipment, set-up, configuration and adjustment in a variety of settings, is preferred.

  • Must be able to collaborate with a wide variety of individuals to achieve a common goal.

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment.

  • Must be able to lift and transport equipment physically throughout school locations as needed.

Salary: The Supervisor of AV Services follows the Admin/Non-WELA handbook. Compensation will be determined based upon education and experience.
