JOB DESCRIPTION:
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Department of Radiology invites applications for a full-time Emergency Radiologist to provide overnight imaging interpretation across our growing Gulf Coast multi-campus health system. This is an outstanding opportunity for a radiologist who values clinical excellence, schedule predictability, and the stability and academic richness of a distinguished academic medical center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide full-time, on-site overnight Emergency Radiology coverage across UTMB campuses on a 7-on/14-off schedule (10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). Interpret high-acuity, high-volume emergency imaging, including radiography, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, for trauma, stroke, acute vascular, and complex multi-system cases across multiple subspecialties. Support timely and accurate diagnostic services within UTMB’s integrated academic radiology practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MD or DO degree.

Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology.

Fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging

Certificate of Added Qualification in Cardiac CT.

Valid Texas Medical License, or ability to obtain prior to start.

Eligibility for appointment to the UTMB medical staff.

Authorization to work in the United States.
