JOB PURPOSE: The US Federal Tax Manager (“Tax Manager”) is responsible for providing support for US federal tax compliance matters. The Tax Manager role reports directly to the Associate Director, NA Tax Compliance and will assist with all aspects relating to federal tax compliance matters in North America with assistance from an Outside Service Provider (OSP). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Tax Manager has the following areas of responsibility:· Provide business (decision) support· Provide support to the Associate Director, NA Tax Compliance · Management of OSP for tax return & compliance processes for US federal tax Business decision supportThe Tax Manager helps to provide support to the business decisions and day to day actions. The Tax Manager will represent the NA Tax Team as the federal income tax liaison in the country finance function; building relationships with key stakeholders in the business and in finance, providing support to the Associate Director, NA Tax Compliance where needed. Activities· Business partner to the Finance Team and other cross functional teams advising on the tax impact of business strategy, transactions and decisions as well as day to day operations· Takes initiatives for projects concerning (local) tax planning in the country.· Implements global and local tax projects in the country.· Advises on cross-border tax issues (transfer pricing, tax deductibility etc)· Analyses the impact of (changes in) domestic taxation rules.Tax return & compliance for taxesThe Tax Manager is responsible – for the delivery of tax compliance, in line with Global policy, in order to contribute to achieve timely, correct and complete federal tax compliance. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of an OSP for the completion of federal tax compliance, guidelines for book to tax reconciliation, setting the tax compliance agenda and deadlines, drafting and collecting supporting documentation, and soliciting external advice where needed.Activities· Developing the compliance agenda with OSP, including deadlines and responsibilities regarding the US income tax compliance · Responsible for ensuring systems and processes are maintained in order to accurately and timely prepare the US income tax compliance· Responsible for accurate filing and timely payment of US federal income tax returns.· Ensures that adequate documentation / data is created and maintained for tax planning and future audit purposes. · Understands implications of changes in tax laws and in business operations in order to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance· Monitors, supports and advises on transfer pricing issues and policies· Assists Associate Director, NA Tax Compliance and OSP for the preparation of contemporaneous documentation for cross border transactions

Pay: The pay range for this position is $103,000 to $154,400. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
