Full job description
About the Opportunity Paro is connecting experienced accounting professionals with remote, project-based AI training opportunities where they can use their real-world expertise to help evaluate and improve AI-generated work. This is not a traditional accounting role. You’ll apply your professional judgment to realistic accounting scenarios, evaluate AI-generated workpapers and analyses, identify errors or gaps, and determine whether outputs meet the standards expected of an experienced accounting professional.
The work is flexible and self-directed, with opportunities to contribute to projects based on your expertise, performance, and available work.
What You’ll Do
- Develop realistic accounting tasks based on situations and workflows encountered in professional practice.
- Create supporting materials such as trial balances, schedules, source documents, workpapers, and correspondence.
- Evaluate AI-generated workpapers, memos, schedules, reconciliations, and other accounting deliverables.
- Review calculations, accounting treatments, disclosures, supporting documentation, and conclusions for accuracy.
- Compare AI-generated responses and clearly explain where each succeeds or falls short.
- Identify issues such as misapplied accounting standards, unsupported conclusions, numbers that do not reconcile, missed disclosures, or incorrect interpretations.
- Develop clear evaluation criteria defining what a professionally accurate deliverable should contain.
- Contribute across areas such as audit, technical accounting, tax, close, consolidation, and financial reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on professional accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field completed or in progress.
- Professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Public accounting
- Corporate accounting
- Audit and assurance
- Technical accounting and financial reporting
- US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Tax
- Controllership
- Month-end close and consolidation
- Cost or managerial accounting
- Internal audit / SOX
- Forensic accounting
- Strong spreadsheet skills, including experience building and reviewing schedules, reconciliations, and roll-forwards.
- Current or recent hands-on accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly explain why an accounting treatment, calculation, or conclusion is correct or incorrect.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent credential is preferred but not required. Practical accounting expertise is the priority.

Assessment & Next Steps Qualified applicants will be invited to complete an approximately 2–4 hour unpaid skills assessment designed to evaluate accounting expertise, attention to detail, professional judgment, and the ability to assess work against professional standards. Assessment submissions must represent the applicant’s own work and may not be completed using AI tools.
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment may become eligible for ongoing paid AI training projects based on their expertise, performance, and available work. If you’re an experienced accounting professional interested in applying your expertise in a new way while contributing to the development of advanced AI systems, we’d love to hear from you.
