  • Lead complex negotiations, long-term agreements, and contract renewals with strategic suppliers.

  • Monitor commodity markets, forecast cost exposure, and develop mitigation strategies such as indexing, hedging support, and clawbacks.

  • Apply total cost of ownership (TCO) and should-cost analysis to sourcing decisions.

Supply Continuity & Resilience

  • Make sure supply continuity to operations stays uninterrupted, and lead escalation and recovery for critical constraints and past-due backlog.

  • Lead supply base rationalization, dual and third-source qualification, and regional or nearshoring strategies to expand external capacity and reduce risk.

  • Assess supplier capacity against demand, and close gaps before they affect customers.

  • Resize and realign the supply chain as BU needs change, including product transfers, new product introductions

(NPI), and acquisitions.

Supplier Performance Management

  • Lead the supplier performance program, including scorecards, QBRs with key suppliers, and constraint reviews

with critical suppliers.

  • Improve supplier on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and responsiveness through structured corrective action and

supplier development.

  • Drive lead time reduction and validate supplier lead times in SAP (PIR and material master) so they reflect

demonstrated performance.

  • Develop stocking programs (VMI, consignment, safety stock) to improve availability for customers.

Data, Systems & Process Excellence

  • Make sure SAP master data and purchasing parameters are accurate for the commodities you own.

  • Set and monitor commodity and supply chain KPIs, take corrective action, and support automation and better

reporting.

  • Run Lean and continuous improvement efforts (kaizens, A3 problem-solving) across sourcing and supplier

processes.

  • Conduct market research and supplier scouting to support cost competitiveness, innovation, and

diversification.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement, ideally in

electrical, industrial, or manufacturing environments.

  • People leadership experience managing and developing professional teams.

  • A proven track record of delivering material productivity and leading complex negotiations with strategic

suppliers.

  • Strong knowledge of commodity markets relevant to Wiring Systems (e.g., copper, steel, resins, fabricated

components).

  • Proficiency in SAP (MM/PP), Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with strong analytical and financial acumen.

  • Experience with supplier qualification, dual sourcing, and global or nearshore supply bases.

  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior

leadership.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS/ISM certification is a plus.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to supplier sites and plants, both domestic and international.
