Solution Architect -Sr Consultant- AI&E

As an experienced Solution Architect, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. If so, consider an opportunity with Deloitte under our Project Delivery Talent Model. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite or remote client service delivery.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Analyze legacy mainframe code (COBOL/JCL/DB2) and process flows to extract true business behavior, especially around enrollment/eligibility logic. Translate extracted logic into business-readable rules and decision models, ensuring traceability from legacy system to implemented rule. Validate rules with business SMEs and oversee offshore teams' rule extraction, development, and testing deliverables. Define standards, resolve logic gaps/conflicts, and guide test case development to confirm new rules replicate legacy behavior.

Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years mainframe experience (COBOL, JCL, DB2) with strong legacy code analysis skills.

  • Proven expertise in business rule extraction/translation and JDM/Decision Management platforms.

  • Lead architect experience on large modernization initiatives, managing distributed onshore/offshore teams.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
