Summary:

  • Directly manages and promotes all aspects of outreach and strategy as it relates to Doylestown Health and in accordance to strategic plan and community health needs assessment. The Director executes internal and external health and wellness activities in alignment with the mission and vision of Doylestown Health.

Responsibilities:

  • 1 Provides leadership and oversees the coordination of administrative, fiscal, programs and services to ensure efficient business strategy, implementation and operations within Outreach, Corporate and Associate wellness departments. 1.1 Maintain financial accountability for managed programs. 1.2 Prepares budget according to guidelines and expectations of funding sources for health promotion and disease program needs. 1.3 Continually reviews methods of reducing expenses while providing quality service. 1.4 Manages documentation and records for all activities. 1.5 Create and introduce business plans with attention to detail and functionality. 2 Outreach: Directs and manages and Outreach department including associate wellness, community wellness, and corporate wellness. Oversight includes management of wellness business client relations, contracting, programs, services, financials and internal and external issues. 2.1 Corporate Wellness: develop, manage, and facilitate corporate wellness program to build relationship within the community to develop, implement and evaluate outreach efforts that lead to wellness programming. 2.1.1 Maintain operational plans and policies necessary to achieve objectives 2.1.2 Manage Outreach Staff to align with Doylestown Health strategic initiatives in regard to wellness programming developed 2.1.3 Create business relationships within the community to develop strategic alliances outside of the four walls of the hospital. 2.1.4 Supervise subject matter experts in the hospital before sending out to represent Doylestown Health in business world. 2.1.5 Develop strategic plan to implement corporate wellness through various number of stages. 2.1.6 Identify community businesses and organizations to create relationships and partnerships through wellness programing. 2.1.7 Manage fee-based program 3 Community Needs Assessment: Manage, collaborate and facilitate community needs assessment every three years from development through implementation plan. Strategy align all outreach Initiatives in align with Doylestown Health Strategy and Community Needs. 3.1 Collaborate with internal hospital groups and community groups to determine community health needs 3.2 Identify community businesses and organizations and build strong relationships with them to achieve strategic plan goals-such as providing wellness programming. 3.3 Actively participate in BCHIP 3.4 Supervise professional and technical staff in implementing health education programs, goals and objectives 3.5 Act as community resource and provide consultation to Doylestown Health and the community as needed 3.6 Run the Community Needs Assessment in collaboration with Doylestown Health Associates, BCHIP, and community groups 3.7 Develop new community outreach programs. 3.8 Manage database to support community health analytics including community benefit, 990 and Community Needs Assessment Reporting and files appropriate information. 3.9 Manage Outreach Team to develop and conduct wellness educational opportunities for the community focusing on associates, pediatrics (Pediatric Outreach), adults, businesses, as well as senior communities. 3.10Use information gathered to populate Doylestown Health’s 990 tax reporting 4. Associate Wellness: oversee development & implementation for associate wellness platform and wellness programing. Associate Wellness Program: Directs and oversights program for associates for Doylestown Health 1.2 Develop strategy and plan for execution of wellness needs for associates 1.3 Monitor development and impacts over extended time periods 1.4 Align Doylestown Health Associate Wellness plan to mirror corporate wellness venture 1.5 Collaborate with and utilize Doylestown Health Associates and Physicians as speakers 1.6 Design and present curriculum focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Doylestown Health community. 1.7 Utilize innovative methods and media to deliver education 1.8 Conduct programs that support Doylestown Health focus, mission and values 1.9 Ensure programs are clinically and ethically sound 1.10 Manage portfolio of speakers, programs, and health initiatives that are available through Doylestown Health. 1.11 Identify subject matter experts in all of the key Doylestown Health services line and business focuses. 1.12 Maintain a current list of the experts willing to speak in community settings to community members. 1.13 Collaborate with service line representatives to identify new areas of focus or expanded business opportunities 1.14 Update list regularly to ensure accurate contacts and availability of speakers and topics

Credentials:

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)

  • 5 + years in healthcare education and technology, human resource management, operations and business management.10 years of experience in marketing development, research for a healthcare of consumer production organization; three years at management level.Demonstrated leadership ability and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians and ancillary staff.

  • Master of Arts or Science

  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry.
