Full job description

About CodeRabbit CodeRabbit is the leading AI code review platform, trusted by more than 17,000 customers and 150,000 open-source projects, conducting over 2 million code reviews each week. We build the symbiotic partnership between developers and AI that makes shipping fast software safe again, reviewing every pull request, IDE change, and CLI commit so teams can move quickly without breaking things.

We are a fast-moving, well-funded company, fresh off a $143M Series C at a $1.5B valuation — building Agentic Change Management, the control layer for software changes created by humans and agents. As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck moves from implementation to judgment and helping human judgment scale is exactly the problem we exist to solve.

Role Overview The Commercial Field Engineer’s primary role is to serve as a technical advisor and champion for CodeRabbit customers in the Commercial tier throughout their post-sales journey. In this function, you will play a crucial role in onboarding, implementation, and ongoing success by partnering with Customer Success, Product, Engineering and Support teams to ensure customers realize the full value of CodeRabbit. This is an exciting role for those who are technically curious and passionate about building AI-powered solutions for the SDLC. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in an exciting, collaborative and fast-paced company that’s focused on making our customers successful.

What you will do:

  • Lead onboarding and implementation engagements for commercial and mid-market customers

  • Help customers configure and optimize CodeRabbit within their development workflows and CI/CD environments

  • Deliver customer trainings, onboarding sessions, workshops, and technical enablement programs

  • Conduct configuration and integration reviews to ensure customers are following best practices and maximizing platform value

  • Troubleshoot customer issues and partner with Support, Product, and Engineering teams to drive timely resolutions

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex implementation and adoption challenges

  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to drive customer adoption, technical health, and long-term success

  • Build trusted relationships with developers, engineering managers, and platform teams

  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to improve the product experience

  • Contribute to internal documentation, onboarding playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and best practices

  • Stay current on emerging trends in AI-powered development tools, developer productivity, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD ecosystems

  • Help improve repeatability and scalability across onboarding and customer enablement workflows

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Implementation Engineering

  • Experience onboarding or supporting SaaS, developer tooling, or infrastructure products

  • Strong technical knowledge of software development workflows and modern engineering tools

  • Comfortable troubleshooting APIs, integrations, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based systems

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • Comfortable working from the command line and debugging technical issues

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously

  • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and bias toward action

  • Passion for helping engineering teams improve developer productivity and software quality

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or other CI/CD platforms

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud-native infrastructure

  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments

OTE for this role is $150k-$200k. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location.
