About the Opportunity We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join a well-established construction and architectural surfaces company serving customers throughout Western and Central New York. This role is a great opportunity for someone with construction project coordination experience who is ready to take the next step, as well as candidates coming from a residential construction background who want to transition into commercial work. Experience is important, but we're especially interested in people who bring the right attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

If you're organized, dependable, comfortable working with customers and contractors, and eager to build your project management career, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Manage construction projects from contract award through final closeout.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and project stakeholders.
  • Review contracts, architectural plans, specifications, drawings, and finish schedules.
  • Coordinate project timelines, field measurements, shop drawings, fabrication, deliveries, and installation.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Installation, and Accounting.
  • Communicate with customers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and other project partners.
  • Attend project and jobsite meetings as needed.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, AIA billings, schedules of values, pay applications, lien waivers, retainage, and closeout documentation.
  • Track project budgets, costs, profitability, and schedules.
  • Coordinate billing documentation with Accounting.
  • Monitor material availability and support quality assurance.
  • Coordinate punch-list completion and warranty work.
  • Identify project risks and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for additional business with existing and new customers.
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages of completion.

What We're Looking For We're open to a wide range of construction backgrounds and experience levels. You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Construction project management, coordination, or supervisory experience.
  • Residential or commercial construction experience.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, vendors, or crews.
  • The ability to read and understand architectural drawings and blueprints, or the willingness and ability to learn.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to jobsites.

Previous titles could include:

  • Project Manager
  • Construction Supervisor
  • Worksite Supervisor
  • Superintendent
  • Construction Coordinator
  • Lead Carpenter
  • Foreman

The right person doesn't necessarily need to have experience in every aspect of the role. A strong construction foundation and the right attitude can go a long way.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $65,000–$70,000 base salary
  • Bonus opportunity based on overall business performance, with typical bonuses of approximately $5,000–$10,000
  • Additional incentive opportunity for candidates with business development experience
  • Medical insurance with employer contribution
  • Dental and vision coverage available
  • Short-term and long-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO begins accruing immediately
  • New York State PTO
  • 2 weeks of vacation
  • 5 paid sick days
  • 9 paid holidays
  • Milage reimbursement

Why Join This Team This is an opportunity to join an established company where your attitude, effort, and ability to grow are valued just as much as your resume.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with customers and contractors, and develop your skills across the full project lifecycle. Whether you're an experienced construction PM or someone ready to take the next step in your career, you'll have the support and training needed to succeed.

The team takes pride in being family-oriented, collaborative, and invested in its employees. Leadership genuinely cares about the people who work here, and employees have opportunities to build long-term careers rather than simply fill a position. If you're someone who shows up, takes ownership, communicates well, works hard, and wants to learn, this team is willing to invest in you.
