Description

The Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole is hiring for the position of Justice Program Administrator. This position will be responsible for the administration of the Sex Offender caseload requirements as the Sex Offender Caseload Liaison.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the Sex Offender Caseload Liaison for the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole.

  • Create and coordinate the Sex Offender Officer Annual Training to include training topics, agenda, guest speakers, and training materials.

  • Work with Internet Probation and Parole Control (IPPC) vendor with sex Offender device monitoring, trouble shooting on issues, setting up new Sex Offender Officers with this vendor, and setting up trainings with IPPC for the Division of Probation and Parole.

  • Onboard and assist in training of Sex Offender Officers. Chair and run the Sex Offender Round Table trainings and meetings every quarter with the Sex Offender Officers.

  • Assist in changing or updating Sex Offender supervision policy, procedures, processes, technology, and supervision forms.

  • Field sex Offender questions from a variety of entities (such as Sex Offender Officers and Supervisors, Parole Board, Department of Corrections, Courts, Community, etc.). Monitor and assist with sex Offender placements and home placements as needed.

  • Update sex Offender guidebook and handbook as needed. Attend meetings and trainings pertaining to sex Offender supervision.

  • Other duties assigned and some travel.

  • Assist with Sex Offender Registry compliance notices.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Four years of professional experience in any operation or program within the field of corrections, juvenile justice, criminal justice, law enforcement, recreation, academic or vocational education, health services or education, dietary or food management, construction project management, social work, or a related field.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional experience in corrections, juvenile justice, criminal justice, law enforcement, recreation, academic or vocational education, health services or education, dietary or food management, construction project management, social work, or related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Work is typically performed in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
