Job Description

UBS Business Solutions US LLC is hiring a(n) Associate Director, Engineer (ref. Code 001564 in Weehawken, NJ.

Duties: Analyze and understand business and technical stories, write code, implement automated tests, contribute to release and iteration planning, and develop the working practices of the team. Maintain existing React systems, including fixing bugs. Design and develop new custom components to meet project requirements. Install and configure server environments for React deployments. Perform insightful and constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques. Maintain and update project dependencies as well as fix any conflicts. Consider all pertinent factors to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code. Establish and promote best Software Development Life Cycle practices and pro-actively investigating and proposing new technologies for use. Work with other JavaScript developers and software engineers to develop well-structured and flexible front-end and back-end architecture. Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience as a Technology Application Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, Senior Product Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Technology Application Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, Senior Product Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.
