FP&A Manager

This is a full-time, fully remote role.

Company Overview b.well is transforming how healthcare consumers find and receive care in a personalized, convenient, and affordable manner. Partnering with our customers (health systems, insurance payors, pharmacies, and employers), we empower consumers to make informed choices about their family's health using our data platform and mobile apps. We're hiring an FP&A Manager to be the CFO's right hand in architecting that scale-up: someone who can build the model, defend it, and evolve it every quarter as the business needs evolve. This is not a maintenance role. You will not just support — you will own the financial narrative of a company going through 10x growth. What You'll Do

  • The operating model — Build and continuously refine a driver-based financial model that flexes with the business rather than breaking every time a plan changes.
  • Board & investor-grade reporting — Prepare monthly/quarterly board materials, investor updates, and KPI dashboards that hold up to scrutiny from a Series D board and future late-stage/IPO-track investors.
  • Scenario planning & capital efficiency — Run "what-if" analyses on hiring plans, pricing changes, new markets, and M&A, then translate them into cash runway, dilution, and growth-efficiency tradeoffs the CFO and CEO can act on.
  • Departmental partnership — Be the embedded finance partner to Sales, Marketing, and R&D, building pipeline-to-revenue models, CAC/payback tracking, and headcount plans that keep growth and burn in balance.
  • Systems & process scale — Evaluate and help implement FP&A tooling as spreadsheets stop being sufficient; build the reporting infrastructure a 10x-larger company will need.
  • Fundraise & diligence support — Own the data room financial exhibits, cohort analyses, and model stress-tests for future financing rounds.
  • Team building — Help design the future FP&A org; this role is the seed of a team, with a strong hand in shaping who joins it.
  • Ensure security, compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and scalability are built into data and API solutions from day one.

Job Requirements

  • 3 to 7+ years in FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, or strategy consulting — ideally with direct experience at a company that scaled ARR meaningfully (2–5x+) during your tenure.
  • Fluency in SaaS/subscription metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC payback, rule of 40) and know which ones matter at which stage.
  • Ability to build models people trust — not just technically correct, but clean, auditable, and built to be handed off or scaled.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets mastery is table stakes; experience with modern FP&A platforms and SQL/BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and speed — the plan will change multiple times, and that should feel energizing, not destabilizing.

The target salary range for this position is $145,000–$175,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary based on experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
