Full job description

Summary:

The Manufactured Owner Furnished Equipment (MOFE) Integration team within Meta's Data Center Design, Engineering & Construction (DEC) organization is responsible for the technical development, manufacturing readiness, and deployment strategy of offsite manufactured components that power Meta's global data center portfolio. The rapid acceleration of AI demand requires data center capacity at a scale and speed that traditional construction methods cannot deliver. This team is focused on transforming data center construction into an industrialized model, standardizing components into vendor-agnostic SKUs, enabling repeatable deployment across a growing portfolio of sites, and building durable processes that enable contract manufacturing at unprecedented scale. From concept design through construction execution, this team directly influences the full product lifecycle, embedding innovation such as advanced modular construction initiatives and ensuring Meta can build the infrastructure required to win the AI era.The MOFE Manufacturing Readiness Lead is focused on preparing our manufacturing supply chain to build at scale. This role is a critical partner with Infra Supply Chain & Engineering (ISCE) — supporting long-range planning, supply and demand strategies, and inputs into supply chain tooling. Working alongside quality teams to ensure manufacturing readiness, this role is focused on preparing the build and running the integrator business through business reviews, readiness milestones, and capacity planning. This role also champions manufacturing innovation — identifying opportunities in robotics, automation, and process optimization to accelerate production capacity growth to support scale.

Required Skills:

MOFE Manufacturing Readiness Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the detailed development of manufacturing-first strategies to drive innovation, including planning with cross-functional partners and the implementation plan to ensure success across design, engineering, and construction

  2. Lead partnership and collaboration with ISCE to develop and secure a healthy MOFE supply base, ensuring adequate capacity and capability to meet current and future demand signals

  3. Secure inputs and alignment across large cross-functional teams of internal and external partners through the development of new offsite manufactured components and manufacturing strategies

  4. Develop TAKT time manufacturing models and synchronize product assembly schedules with demand/delivery requirements and business Production-Ready objectives

  5. Lead manufacturing evaluation, development, and expansion of new supply chain partners as needed to support demand signal — including manufacturing readiness reviews, facility location strategies, and production capacity assessments in a cross-functional matrixed role with Manufacturing Quality Engineers (MQEs)

  6. Support reviews of offsite manufacturing partner facilities and field install of components to validate work quality and progress

  7. Establish off-site commissioning process standards — including SCADA/Ignition Edge implementation, pre-commissioning checklists, and controls validation protocols

  8. Collaborate with the Quality team and Integrator to plan and execute Mock-up, Benchmark, and First of Kind (FOK) events, ensuring component constructability and adherence to quality standards

  9. Define integrator onboarding workflows including scope expectations, data transparency requirements, and performance frameworks

  10. Lead integrator partner business reviews and serve as the business partnership lead — driving performance accountability, capacity planning alignment, and continuous improvement with manufacturing partners

  11. Create installation documentation and manuals enabling multi-vendor installation strategies at scale

  12. Develop strategic logistics plans in partnership with integrators — including near-site warehousing, AGV deployment, and manufacturing-to-site transport routing — to guarantee on-time delivery and proactive risk mitigation

  13. Identify cost, schedule, and labor usage efficiency solutions through constructability strategies for future data center product designs

  14. Coordinate the schedule and associated risks with cross-functional teams for manufactured component development to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates

  15. Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for offsite manufacturing, leveraging automated dashboards, status reporting, and predictive TAKT risk scoring to drive performance and transparency

  16. Develop end-to-end scheduling processes with automated signals and ERP access for supply chain risk identification

  17. Develop supply and demand planning strategies and provide inputs to sourcing tooling to ensure alignment between manufacturing capacity, procurement timelines, and program delivery requirements

  18. Capture and operationalize lessons learned and provide feedback to inform building block revisions and optimization of MOFE component engineering for manufacturing — closing the loop between field performance and product development

  19. Define and continuously improve manufacturing and integration process standards, playbooks, and workflows across programs

  20. Assess and communicate manufacturing readiness risks — identifying gaps in supplier capacity, production capability, and facility preparedness, and driving mitigation plans before production commitments are made

  21. Provide comprehensive manufacturing readiness, cost, and capacity assessments to support pre-construction planning, procurement decisions, and supply chain strategy

  22. Align manufacturing strategies in partnership with Data Center Engineering discipline leads for new data center product designs

  23. Drive manufacturing innovation, including robotics, AI, and automation initiatives, to improve process efficiency, production throughput, quality, and cost, while generating predictive insights to mitigate production risks

  24. Lead the MOFE Integration Pillar Project Planning and Strategy Meetings — setting the cadence, agenda, and cross-functional alignment for manufacturing readiness activities

  25. Participate in Strategic Sourcing Decisions (SSD) and Strategic Sourcing Review Forum (SSRF) to represent MOFE manufacturing readiness perspectives in sourcing governance

  26. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support integrator-specific issue resolution — driving cross-functional alignment between engineering, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing partners

  27. Develop product should-cost models in partnership with the supply chain and engineering organization to support competitive procurement, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization across the MOFE supply base

  28. Foster collaboration with internal cross-functional partners

  29. promote continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork

  30. Promote and model an attitude of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback

  31. Travel as required up to 40%
