Project Engineers - Traveling
Ultimate LLC is urgently seeking to hire Electrical Project Engineers for Data Center Projects in North Dakota . The pay range for this position is $40-$60 per hour, based upon experience.
Summary
Ultimate LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects (including large-scale data centers). This role partners with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to keep projects organized, documented, and moving—covering submittals, RFIs, procurement tracking, change management support, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager and project leadership team with day-to-day project execution.

Manage the RFI process , including identifying issues, drafting and submitting RFIs, tracking responses, and communicating resolutions to the appropriate field personnel.

Manage electrical submittals from initial preparation through approval, including tracking revisions, resubmittals, and required-on-site dates.

Maintain accurate and current project documentation, drawings, specifications, bulletins, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and other contract documents.

Review drawings and specifications to identify conflicts, missing information, constructability concerns, and potential scope changes.

Ensure updated drawings and project information are communicated to field leadership.

Assist with change management , including documenting scope changes, gathering labor/material information, preparing change-order backup, and tracking outstanding change requests.

Coordinate with BIM/VDC personnel to ensure RFIs, design changes, equipment information, and field conditions are incorporated into coordination models and drawings.

Assist with material and equipment procurement by maintaining logs for major equipment, long-lead materials, submittal approvals, fabrication, shipping, and required delivery dates.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain required technical information and documentation.

Help identify procurement or design issues that could impact the construction schedule before they become field problems.

Participate in project coordination, scheduling, owner/GC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings as required.

Maintain meeting action items and follow through with responsible parties.

Assist project leadership with short-term planning and tracking upcoming work.

Work directly with Superintendents and General Foremen to understand field needs and remove roadblocks affecting installation.

Assist with tracking project quantities, percent complete, productivity, and other project performance information.

Support QA/QC documentation, inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.

Assist with punch-list completion and project closeout.

Maintain accurate as-built documentation throughout construction.

Help compile O&M manuals, warranties, testing documentation, commissioning records, and final turnover packages.

Maintain professional communication with customers, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent electrical construction experience .

Previous electrical construction experience preferred.
-
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, or similar construction platforms is beneficial.

Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, or other large electrical construction projects is highly preferred.

Electrical field experience is a significant plus.
