Full job description

Job Title: Gummy Production Technician Reports to: Production Manager Type: Full-time, hourly Schedule: M-F 9am-5:10pm

THE ROLE:

As a Gummy Production Technician, you’ll be at the heart of how our gummies are made. Working hands-on alongside our production leads, you’ll help coordinate and run gummy pours: keeping cooks, molds, materials and people in sync so every batch is poured on time, on spec and to our quality standards. From staging ingredients and prepping molds to monitoring pours and cleaning down between runs, you’ll keep the line moving in a fast-paced, rapidly growing operation.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are dependable and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. When a pour is ready, timing matters, and your team can count on you to be in the right place with the right materials.

You are detail-oriented and take pride in your work. You follow recipes, temperatures and batch records precisely, knowing that consistency in every gummy is what our customers trust.

You are a strong communicator who keeps the team in sync, calling out timing, flagging issues early and making clean handoffs between steps.

You possess a growth mindset, as you value your role as a contributing member of our growing team and company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Coordinate Pours: Support production leads in planning and sequencing gummy pours, keeping cooking, depositing and mold staging on schedule.
  • Run Production: Help prepare and pour gummy batches by weighing and staging ingredients, monitoring temperatures and timing, and depositing into molds.
  • Follow the Process: Follow recipes, SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to keep every batch consistent and on spec.
  • Document Accurately: Complete batch records, logs and checklists clearly and on time.
  • Monitor Quality: Perform in-process checks (such as temperature, weights and appearance) and escalate issues to the production lead/manager right away.
  • Handle Post-Pour Steps: Assist with curing, demolding, finishing and moving product to packaging.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize kettles, depositors, molds, utensils and work areas between pours and at end of shift.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate production equipment and perform routine upkeep, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Overtime Opportunities: Availability for overtime pay/hours with weekend work as necessary.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a food, confectionery, beverage or other manufacturing production environment; gummy or candy experience is a plus.
  • Food Safety: Familiarity with GMPs, sanitation practices and following written SOPs.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication, especially when coordinating timing on the floor.
  • Adaptability: Flexible to changing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage several time-sensitive tasks at once.
  • Math & Measurement: Comfortable weighing, measuring and doing basic calculations accurately.
  • Team Player: Positive energy and reliability for team cohesion.
  • Preferred Knowledge: HS diploma and experience with MS Office (Teams, Excel, Word).

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Comfortable with repetitive arm motions.
  • Able to regularly lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working safely around hot liquids and heated equipment.
  • Willing to wear required PPE (such as gloves, hairnets and other protective gear) and follow food safety guidelines.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) plan
  • Employee discount
  • Paid training and competitive wages
  • Opportunities for professional growth and personal development
