  • Quality auditing and compliance: Complete routine audits of case files, care plans, outreach, follow-up, and documentation for accuracy, timeliness, quality, and compliance with internal standards, NCQA requirements, Medicaid requirements, contractual expectations, and applicable policies

  • Audit follow-up and corrective action: Communicate audit findings, identify trends, provide targeted coaching or education, monitor remediation, and support corrective action plans. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to case-related questions

  • Program and workflow oversight: Support implementation and maintenance of case management programs, standard work, procedures, templates, reports, and quality-improvement activities. Identify workflow gaps and recommend practical solutions that improve consistency, efficiency, and member outcomes

  • Training and onboarding: Support orientation, mentoring, and ongoing education for new and existing staff, including documentation standards, care planning, member engagement, crisis resources, care transitions, and use of case management systems

  • Collaboration and representation: Partner with utilization management, providers, health plan departments, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Participate in departmental and health plan meetings and provide case management updates or reports to relevant committees as assigned

  • Professional responsibilities: Maintain required professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education. Protect confidential information and follow organizational, state, federal, and accreditation requirements

  • Knowledge of behavioral health levels of care, community resources, care transitions, crisis and safety planning, and social drivers of health

  • Remain accessible during business hours for staff questions, time-sensitive case escalation, and coordination of difficult or high-risk cases
