Construction Laborer - Immediate Start

We are seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to join our team immediately. This position involves general labor duties, material handling, heavy lifting, and assisting crews with roofing projects. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with roofing projects, including material movement and job site preparation.

• Perform general labor tasks such as cleanup, demolition, and loading/unloading materials.

• Safely lift and carry construction materials, tools, and equipment.

• Support skilled tradespeople with daily construction activities.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform heavy physical labor throughout the workday.

• Comfortable working on rooftops and at various heights.

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance.

• Experience in construction or roofing is a plus but not required.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

Work primarily involves small to mid-size commercial construction projects, with occasional large-scale projects. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm, with hours varying depending on the project. Winter months offer 36-40 hours, while spring through fall may provide 40-50 hours or more. Operations are mainly within Dane County, with travel up to 50 miles from Madison as needed. Travel and per diems may be offered for specific traveling jobs. Team sizes can vary between 2-10 people, and employees have the option to meet at the shop each morning or go directly to the jobsite. If meeting at the shop, you can ride along in the company truck.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
