Description

Field Caulker – East Coast

Permanent/Full Time, Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday–Friday

To provide caulking and general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a crew caulking precast concrete panels.

Salary Range: $39–$45/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform caulking and general construction labor necessary to seal precast concrete panels.

  • Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a caulk crew.

  • Follow work direction provided by the Caulk Crew Foreperson.

  • Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.

  • Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.

  • Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.

  • Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

  • Construction experience required; caulking experience preferred.

  • General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.

  • Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.

  • Ability to obtain membership in a local union.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.

  • Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers.

  • Spatial awareness and depth perception necessary to perform field duties safely.

  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and around dirt, dust, and noise from heavy machinery and vehicles.

  • Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
